Our Story
John and I met at Clear Lake in the summer of 2002. His parents were having a company party at their cottage and I came with my mom and dad.
John had several of his friends there, and we all went out in the boat skiing. I had only skied a couple times before so when they asked if I wanted to go I was a little hesitant!
Against my better judgement I decided to put the skis on and try. I got up with no problem!!!! The problem (or luck) came when John pulled me a little too close to the bouy and I couldn\’t react in time to miss it so…. sure enough, end up hitting the thing and I go flying.
Now it felt like everything was in slow motion, but I could see the expression/panic on John\’s face as he about threw everyone out of the boat as he turned around so quick to get me. He raced back so quick he almost ran over me with the boat! He jumped out and helped me back into the boat. I thought my leg was broken for a moment but ended up OK- just very, very bruised!
Well, John felt real bad and called me for a week straight just to check on my condition (at least this is what he told me 
. He finally asked that he take me to dinner to make up for the accident and the rest is history…..
On a last note… he pulled me skiing again this past August and would you believe he did the same thing???? Fortunately I just barely missed the bouy!!! I offer to drive the boat and pull him skiing but he just says he doesn\’t feal like skiing right now????? I\’ll get him!
